Intro to MAPP ONLINE & WebCT

Partnership for Training Definitions

 

For Nurse Practitioner and Nurse-Midwifery
MAPP students only

  1. Contact your MAPP Faculty Advisor at your Home Institution to decide your Spring 2001 course schedule. (* Beth-El MAPP Students - see below)

  2. Register for MAPP ONLINE courses at your Home Institution using your Home Institution's course numbers and instructions provided in this catalog. Please register as soon as possible to ensure your place in the course(s) you select. See Important Dates / Deadlines below. If you register after these dates, you may be charged late fees and/or put on a waitlist for the course you select. Please follow your Home Institution's registration procedures and deadlines. Also, note and comply with the Instructional Institution's deadlines.

  3. For MAPP ONLINE courses taught by UCD Instructional Faculty, please follow the instructions found in the link AND file entitled IMPORTANT SON Online Course Information on http://freenet.uchsc.edu:8900. For MAPP ONLINE courses taught by UNC and UWYO Instructional Faculty, follow the instructions in the course descriptions on the following pages.

  4. Pay all tuition and fees to your Home Institution for the MAPP ONLINE courses you select by the date required by your Home Institution.

  5. If you withdraw from a MAPP ONLINE course, use the drop/withdrawal procedures in place at your Home Institution. Inform your Faculty Advisor, the Instructional Faculty and the MAPP Office. In order to keep inter-institutional transactions to a minimum, please do your best to complete each MAPP ONLINE course satisfactorily. Unforeseen emergencies will be taken into consideration.

  6. At the completion of the MAPP ONLINE course, your Instructor will assign your grade. The Instructor will transmit your grade and academic credit information to the specified Contact Person** at your Home Institution and verify your course completion with the MAPP Office. The Contact Person will ensure that your grade and credit are recorded.

  7. Add your Spring 2001 MAPP ONLINE courses to your MAPP Degree/ Certification/ Lifelong Learning Plan.

* Beth-El MAPP Students must have permission from the Dean or Director of Graduate Programs to take a MAPP ONLINE course offered by a different MAPP Partner Instructional Institution. Call Carol Schoffstall (Dean) at 719-262-4422 or Barbara Joyce-Nagata (Director of Graduate Programs) at 719-262-4430.
