A Roarin' Good
Time
Saturday, June 14 2-10 p.m.
What’s more fun than a barrel of monkeys? The whole
zoo, of course! Imagine frolicking with your family, playing
with the pandas and cavorting with the carnivores.
The Denver Zoo will open its doors exclusively to UC Denver
alumni, friends and their families Saturday, June 14, from
6:30 to 10 p.m. (Early birds can get in at 2 p.m., but have
to share the zoo with fellow Denverites.) We’ll keep
the train open late for the kids and have live animal demonstrations
for the curious. Stop by the Conoco Zoo Gardens from 6:30
to 8:30 p.m. for a classic American cookout—burgers,
dogs, chips, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, soft drinks
and cookies.
The discounted rate for this event is $10 per person including
zoo admission and dinner. Register online (www.cudenver.onlinecommunity.com)
by June 6. Questions? Downtown alums call 303-556-2945 or
e-mail alumni@cudenver.edu. Alums from 9th Ave./Colo. Blvd.
call 303-315-8832 or e-mail alumni@uchsc.edu.

the Pittsburgh Pirates. Tickets in the lower reserved outfield

Tickets will be mailed upon receipt of your reservation.

Sail to Alaska on the Radiance of
the Seas
Friday, August 29-Friday, September 5
Glaciers and mountains. Gold mines and totem poles. Sea
lions and sea ports. A Hubbard Glacier cruise is one of
the most amazing experiences of a lifetime. Not only can
alumni learn about American history, but also Native American
culture, local wildlife and geological features of this
amazing wilderness.
Royal Caribbean’s Radiance of the Seas was built
to show off the spectacular scenery—open deck spaces,
glass walls and elevators and the highest percentage of
outside staterooms in their fleet. Other amenities include:
rock climbing wall, solarium, pools and whirlpools, day
spa and fitness center, golf simulator and nine-hole mini
golf course, casino, half basketball court, video arcade,
teen center, cinema and theatre, shops, restaurants, bars
and lounges.
