SON ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Standing Committees

Awards Committee
The Awards Committee shall specify criteria and process for recognition of alumni, honorary alumni or other individuals deserving of recognition by the Alumni Association.
Chair: Clare Sandekian

Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee shall plan events for fundraising.
1. Coordinate with SON Dean’s Office and CU Foundation
2. Raise money for Archives Committee work, Scholarships, and other activities of the Alumni Association and the School of Nursing.
Chair: Karren Kowalski

Membership Committee
The Membership Committee shall
1. Identify SON activities where alumni can be recruited
2. Before graduation get membership of current classes
3. Follow up with students after one year
4. Follow up letters and visits to remote alumni
5. Publish membership roster annually.
Chair: Mary McMahon

Nominating Committee
The Nominating Committee shall secure the consent to serve, prepare the slate and present it to the Board of Directors at least two (2) months prior to the annual meeting. This slate shall be included in the notice of the annual meeting at least one month in advance of the meeting. In addition, nominations may be made from the floor at the annual meeting as long as the nominee has consented to serve.

Nursing Archives and History Centre Committee
The Nursing Archives and History Centre Committee shall
1. Work with Fundraising Committee to raise funds
2. Train volunteers
3. Serve as advisory board and mission facilitator for the CUSON Nursing History and Archives Centre

Policy/Procedure Bylaws Committee
The Policy/Procedure Bylaws Committee shall be formed as needed upon request from the Board of Directors
Parlimentarian: Pat Lambert

Publication/Publicity Committee
The Publication/Publicity Committee shall place articles in appropriate publications
1. Plan and edit the content of articles from committees
2. Print program for reunion in collaboration with Alumni Office

Reunion Committee
The Reunion Committee shall
1. Plan and coordinate the Reunion Weekend

Student Visibility/Activities Committee
The Student Visibility/Activities Committee shall establish venues that will connect alumni with students.
