Research Interests

There
are many research projects focused on genetic diseases around the
United States. Locally, at the University of Colorado Denver there is also a strong interest in genetic research.
The AMGP is
involved in research of hereditary cardiomyopathies
(heart muscle diseases),
polycystic kidney disease, and lysosomal storage diseases
(particularly Gaucher and Fabry disease). Many of our
patients in the AMGP clinic are interested in research opportunities.
We can sometimes link patients with resources and genetic research
studies.
