The
Literature, Arts and Medicine Database,
New York University
http://litmed.med.nyu.edu/
October, 2003 marks ten years in the life of this
Literature, Arts, and Medicine Database, a resource for teaching
and scholarship in medical humanities since 1993. During these years,
there has been increasing recognition that discussion of literature
and other creative arts fosters important clinical skills of observation,
interpretation, and communication, and that these media provide
access to diverse cultures and points of view. Those of us who work
on the Database project like to think that this multimedia resource
of annotations has facilitated and encouraged that recognition.
The
Medical Movies Database, Dartmouth College Medical School

The aim of this database is to collect movies that
have a medical content. Records can be sorted by system/discipline,
medical condition/diagnosis or movie title.
