Assistive Technology Program of Colorado
The Colorado Assistive Technology Program was initially funded in 1989 by the National Institute on Disability Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) and the U.S. Department of Education as Colorado's "Assistive Technology Act" project. Under the Assistive Technology Act of 1998, a new State Plan was developed and is known as the Assistive Technology Program of Colorado. The purpose of the program is to improve access to and acquisition of assistive technology devices and services for individuals in education, employment, community living, information technology, and telecommunications.
