Colorado Assistive Technology Program
Requirements of Public Law 108-364
Primary Goal:
Improve access to and acquisition of assistive technology devices and services.
Activities:
Establish an Advisory Council. 56% of membership is persons with disabilities who use assistive technology or are parents or guardians of people who use assistive technology. Other members include representatives of state agencies and organizations that serve people with disabilities. The Assistive Technology Coalition fulfills the responsibilities of the Council.
Establish measurable goals to improve access to assistive technology in education, employment, community living, information technology, and telecommunications.

- Increase public awareness about assistive technology
- Improve access to assistive technology devices and services
- Provide training and technical assistance on the use of assistive technology
