Program Description:

Early Childhood Connections of the Colorado Department of Human Services and Assistive Technology Partners of the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center have collaborated to expand the delivery of AT devices and services for children who are 0-3 years old. To expand the capacity and available resources of local early intervention teams to utilize assistive technology, this collaborative project has provided training for over thirty individuals from around the state in assistive technology applications for children birth to age 3. These individuals have access to an assistive technology loan bank. Through the loan bank, they can check-out equipment to try with children and families. In addition, these individuals participate in teleconferences and trainings in assistive technology throughout the year to continue to expand their ability to meet the needs of young children.
