The Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center for Wheelchair Transportation Safety (RERC-WTS) includes a comprehensive research and development effort to make transportation safe for wheelchair riders. The center involves consumers, manufacturers, students, clinicians, transport providers, and rehabilitation technology experts in ensuring that people have access to employment, the community, and recreation.
