Faculty Bio

photo of Brian BurneBrian Burne, MSM, OTR, is an instructor, researcher, and assistive technology specialist with Assistive Technology Partners in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado Denver, School of Medicine. He is the program coordinator for the Early Intervention and Assistive Technology Project for the state of Colorado. Brian earned his Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University and a Master of Science in Management from Regis University. Brian is the former director of OT at The Children’s Hospital and at Craig Hospital, and brings over thirty years of experience in early intervention, NICU, hospital, school, and institutional settings. His interests have focused on low-tech adaptations and computer access for young and neurologically involved children. Brian is working to promote further development of assistive technology services and resources for young children and their families, as well as for early intervention providers in the state of Colorado.
