N-Acetylaspartic Acid, Serum or Plasma

Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL (at least 1.0 mL preferred).
Specimen Handling: Serum is preferred (red top collection tube). Centrifuge and separate from cells
within 1 hour of drawing.

Interpretive Reference Range: Normal < 142 ng/mL.
Use: Diagnosis of Canavan disease.
