PROTEIN QUANTITATION

Accurate protein concentration values are critical for optimizing 2D gels, HPLC and MS conditions. The CNRU Mass Spectrometry Core Facility utilies a large array of commercially available protein quantitation assays. Depending on the sample source, buffer and investigator preference, we offer Bradford, Modified Bradford, 2D Quant Kit, BCA and Lowry protein assays. These assays range from colorimetric to protein precipitation assays; they are all valid and accurate means of determining the protein concentration in your sample solutions.

Follow these links to the manufacturer's protocols.
