The Lindberg Center for Molecular Modeling and Bioinfromatics

Director: Hamid Razzaghi, PhD

The Lindberg Center for Molecular Modeling and Bioinformatics (LCMMB) is a newly established core facility and part of the University of Colorado Cardiovascular Institute, which was officially inaugurated in April 2004. The mission of the center is to provide the university community with resources and expertise in three areas of biomedical research: Structure-function studies using molecular modeling, bioinformatics, and genetic analysis on a collaborative basis. The LCMMB is currently equipped with state-of-art hardware and software related to its first mission. Among its resources are Accelrys Discovery Studio and Insight II with all its molecular modeling modules, including Affinity, Binding Site Analysis, Biopolymer, CFF, Charmm, Converter, decipher, Delphi, Discover, Homology, Ludi, MCSS, Modeler, Profiles-3D, Search/Compare, Seqfold, and Sketcher. The center is directed by Dr. Hamid Razzaghi, an Assistant Professor in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Colorado Denver. There are currently several research projects underway at the Lindberg Center. These include molecular modeling of myosin, endothelial lipase, and zinc finger protein 202.
