Temple Hoyne Buell Heart Center

The Temple Hoyne Buell Heart Center was estabilished in 1992 with a pledge of $2.5 million from the Temple Hoyne Buell Foundation. The purpose of this was to encompass the clinical, educational and research activities of the Division of Cardiology. To support meritorious investigators and programs of the division dedicated to the laboratory and clinical research in heart disease.This endowment has served as a long-term source of funding for investigators that hold promise of scientific discovery. These funds also serve as a source for upcomming investigators to work on obtaining prelimnary data which is required to obtain federal funding. These funds are also used to support the research activites of cardiology fellows who have a long term goal in research and academic activities.
