General Cardiology and Consultation Services The Cardiologists at the University of Colorado Hospital provide care for all heart patients, from the sickest patients who need heart transplants to those at risk for developing heart disease. The Cardiology Division has an active general cardiology inpatient and out patient service dealing with all types of cardiovascular disease. The division co-directs the medical intensive care unit where patients with acute coronary syndromes, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, and serious rhythm abnormalities are evaluated and treated.
