The Temple Hoyne Buell Heart Center Laboratories for Research in Molecular Cardiology are dedicated to the research of molecular and genetic research of Heart Failure. Dr. Michael Bristow serves as director for this center which continues to provide noted research advancements.
These advancements have earned the stature for the University of Colorado Denver to be considered as one of the outstanding academic research medical centers in the world for treatment of heart disease.
The newly formed University of Colorado Cardiovascular Institute (CU-CVI) formalizes the working relationship between the CU research performed on the Boulder campus and the Division of Cardiology at UCD. Dr. Leslie Leinwand, Chair of the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology at University of Colorado Boulder campus and Dr. Michael Bristow serve as Co-Directors of this Institute which will enhance the abilities for greater industry support and approach non-NHLB/NIH institute grants.
