Colorado CFAR Director's Page

Thomas Campbell, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine and Microbiology, University of Colorado, Denver.  Dr. Campbell conducts research to improve the care of people with HIV-1 infection and AIDS-related complications with a focus on the effects of Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (human herpesvirus 8) co-infection.  He is Director of the Colorado AIDS Clinical Trials Unit, Director of the Colorado HIV Research Training Program, and Associate Program Director of the Colorado Adult General Clinical Research.  He is the lead investigator of the first NIH-funded study of the efficacy and safety of antiretroviral therapy in resource-limited settings around the world.
