A Meeting To Foster Collaborative Research
on the Front Range

Conference Overview
On Thursday, August 2nd, 2007, over 80 investigators, researchers and physicians from the Front Range arrived in Longmont, CO for a day-long conference to discuss collaborative opportunities for research on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of drug-resistant tuberculosis.
Speakers and participants included experts from Colorado State University, University of Colorado Denver, National Jewish Medical and Research Center, Denver Health, University of Colorado at Boulder and Front Range area biotech firms who are working on tuberculosis from basic scientific research into the bacterium that causes the disease to drug, vaccine and diagnostic test developments, to clinical trial design and implementation.
The sold out conference was a tremendous success offering investigators, researchers and physicians the opportunity to discuss and propose future collaborative efforts, as well as the occasion to network and build relationships with colleagues from a variety of institutions and industries.
