Research Interest:

Research in the Artinger lab is centered on prdm1 and its roles in both peripheral nervous system and craniofacial development. prdm1 is expressed embryonically in the posterior pharyngeal arches, which then go on to form gill arch support structures and throat structures in the adult zebrafish and mouse, respectively. My research focuses on understanding the function of prdm1 during the development of the mouse face, and looking at the function of additional PR/SET domain transcription factors during zebrafish craniofacial development. Other research interests include developmental neurobiology, regenerative medicine and immunology.

General Interests:
In my spare time I can usually be found skiing, biking, doing needlepoint, playing video games or whipping up something (hopefully delicious) in the kitchen.
