Computer Access
Beginning January 3, 2005, access to all computer workstations in the Denison Library, including those on the first floor in the Reference area, will require that affiliated users logon to their Health Sciences campuses Stargate account.
Unaffiliated users may request a guest account from either the Reference or Circulation Desk staff. Access will be restricted based on availability of computers and will be limited to individuals who intend to use Library workstations and the campus network for health-related research, in compliance with the Library’s Computer Use Policy. That policy is available from Desk staff or via the Library’s Web site. Library computers and network access are available to support the education, research, and clinical decision-making needs of the faculty, staff and students of the Health Sciences campuses, UCH and the faculty of Children’s Hospital.
The Library is not funded to provide general, open and unrestricted access to computer workstations, the campus network or the wider Internet. Library staff has developed a resource list to direct general Internet users to neighborhood locations providing open network/WiFi access.
*Note - Affiliated users who log on with their Health Sciences campuses account and password will need to remember to log off at the end of a workstation session for privacy and network security concerns.
If you need workstation assistance, please see the Reference or Circulation Desk staff. If you have questions about this policy, please contact elizabeth.dantonio-gan@uchsc.edu.
