PhD Program: Health Services Research (HSR) Track
Training of Physicians and Graduate Health Care Professionals in Health Services Research (HSR). This track focuses on efficacy, cost effectiveness, and outcomes of diagnostic, preventive, interventionist and therapeutic approaches in patients.

Health services research is a discipline that evaluates delivery, organization, and reimbursement mechanisms in health care. Costs of care, clinical outcomes, measures of access to care, and patient satisfaction are commonly studied end-points. The disciplines required to become proficient in this area of clinical science include biostatistics, clinical epidemiology, health policy, observational study design, health economics, and survey research.
