As of July 20, 2007, the Senior's Clinic moved into a new facility.
While our new home is just six miles east of our old location, you will
find it is one of the most advanced health care facilities in the
world. This is an exciting time for all of us at the University
of Colorado Hospital. Few times in history has an entire hospital
system relocated to a brand new, state-of-the-art facility.
We are confident that our new home will exceed your expectations for
comfort and convenience and that you will continue to receive the high
quality of care that you have come to expect from the Seniors Clinic.
The University Hospital Senior's Clinic is located in the Center
on Aging at the University of Colorado Denver
Center. It
was established in 1990. The Clinic seeks to promote wellness in
old age, to improve diagnosis and treatment of age-related diseases,
and to provide more appropriate treatment near the end of life. The
clinic has two full-time geriatric medicine faculty physicians and
four part-time physicians, two geriatric fellows, a full-time
geriatric nurse practitioner, one full-time registered nurse, two
social workers, as well as a part-time Pharm.D., dentist, geriatric
psychiatrist, geropsychologist, physical medicine/rehabilitation
medicine physician and podiatrist. Each of these members work to
bring unique knowledge and skills to the interdisciplinary team.
The goal of the clinic is to provide quality care through an
interdisciplinary team of professionals. Access and continuity
of primary health care services are provided by the Seniors Clinic
which include a panel of approximately 1200 patients; the clinic
provides greater than 4000 outpatient visits per year.
