| Welcome to COAIMH Summer 2004
Our MissionThe Colorado Association for Infant Mental Health is organized to operate for scientific, charitable and educational purposes in accordance with the explicit purposes as set forth in the Bylaws of the World Association for Infant Mental Health (WAIMH). These purposes include the promotion of education and research related to infant mental health, the facilitation of cooperation among those concerned with the optimal development of infants and infant-caregiver relationships, and the promotion of scientifically based programs of care, intervention, and prevention of mental impairment in infancy. To carry out these purposes, the Colorado Association for Infant Mental Health will conduct meetings throughout each year to discuss and disseminate current knowledge related to research and application as well as information about practice and policy. Special attention will be paid to matters of interest to Colorado and its surrounding region and to disseminating knowledge coming from our national organization of which we are a part.
