The committee members do not review applications during the summer months (June-August)

Small DPEF Grant Application Guidelines:

1. Contact the DPRG Coordinator (Crystal Natvig) before completing the application.  A brief discussion of your proposal with the Executive Director (Dr. Laudenslager) is necessary prior to submitting an application to clarify any questions pertaining to eligibility for making an application for funds, appropriateness of the project, etc.

2. Complete the enclosed application (One hard copy for the Coordinator and electronic copies sent to all members of the DPRG Executive Committee and the DPRG office).  The Coordinator must have an original copy that is signed by the applicant (and the sponsor).

3. Applications from post-doctoral fellows are generally limited to $7500 ($7000 for research projects and $500 for travel) and must include a faculty mentor as a co-applicant.

4. Executive Committee meetings are usually scheduled on the second Tuesday every other month at 12 noon, but check with the Coordinator beforehand.

5. In order to be reviewed by the Executive Committee at its regular meeting, the application must be received by all committee members and staff by 5:00 p.m on the deadline listed above.  An original must be supplied to the DPRG office.  All other copies may be sent electronically to the DPRG Executive Committee members.

6. Final funding cannot occur until a copy of relevant COMIRB and/or animal review board certification is provided to the DPRG office.
