Test Processing Center
Test Processing is available for all degree granting programs
within Health Sciences Center at no charge. Exams may have up
to 200 questions with eight possible answers. Please contact us
to ensure your answer sheets and answer keys are formatted correctly.
Completed tests will be processed within 72 hours (usually less),
providing statistical printouts including a bar graph distribution
curve with mean and standard deviation, a line item analysis of
each question with a difficulty index, a point bi-serial discrimination
index, and an analysis of the detractors.
Also provided is an exam printout for posting which includes
the student number, raw score, percent score and questions missed.
A printout is provided for the instructor’s grade book with
a name roster, raw score, and percent score.
Course/Instructor Evaluation Overview
CoursEval, the web based evaluation system utilizes by the Health
Sciences Center, is managed by the Educational Support Services
Department and administrators at each school.
Communications between the server and students are encrypted,
to protect student privacy. Student responses are anonymous, but
comments that are clearly inappropriate are made, responses can
be reconstructed by the software developer at the request of the
Campus Police Department if they deem the matter serious enough
for such action.

Computer
Support Service
The Educational Support Services Computer Support Department provides
computer hardware, software and expertise required by other Educational
Support Services divisions in fulfillment of their respective
missions. In addition to supporting 12 departmental servers and
over 210 workstations, we also provide some services to University
of Colorado Health Sciences Center faculty staff and students
directly.

The Educational Support Services Classrooms include:
9th Avenue Campus:
The Advanced Graphics Classroom (School of Medicine Room Number
4818):
Currently this lab incorporates 13 Macintosh PowerPCs running
various anatomy software.
Computer Classrooms (School of Medicine Room Numbers 0810 and
0811):
13PCs (each) running Windows XP. Software includes Office 2003,
The Visible Human, and additional software can be loaded on request.
Anschutz Medical Campus:
Computer Training Room (formerly ASP)
and Winter Room:
25 and 9 PCs running Windows 2000, Office 2003
and Peoplesoft.
RC1 Computer Training Lab:
24 computers running Windows XP, Office 2003 and SAS

Blackboard Information
Blackboard is tool for developing online courses. It can also be
used as a supplement to traditional classroom courses. The Blackboard
server is located at the Downtown Denver Campus, and is managed
and supported as a cooperative effort by the two campuses.
