Research and Clinical Interests:
Dr. Shroyer is Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
(1991), with subspecialty certification in Cytopathology (1995). Research
interests include the application of novel molecular markers as a diagnostic
adjunct in the analysis of surgical pathology and cytopathology clinical specimens.
Dr. Shroyer’s research laboratory has extensive experience in the application
of molecular assays, including HPV detection and telomerase analysis to clinical
specimens. His laboratory is nationally recognized for translational studies
regarding the development and application of novel tumor markers in premalignant
and malignant lesions of the female genital tract.
