Therapeutic Endoscopy Fellowship Program

Program Description

This program represents a one-year clinical fellowship for training in advanced therapeutic endoscopy. It is designed for recent gastroenterology fellow graduates who wish to become proficient in ERCP, EUS and other new modalities not covered in detail in standard training programs. Training encompasses 12 months of clinical duty including endoscopic procedures, outpatient clinics, and other duties encompassed in the clinical application of these techniques. Current plans and resources are for two fellows. Pre-requisite for admission includes completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship program.

Facilities and Resources

Fellows in this program will see patients at University of Colorado Hospital, Denver Health Medical Center, and the Denver VAMC. The nature of the training provided by this program will expose the trainee to seriously ill patients from all three affiliated hospitals, ensuring a diverse patient pool. All of our fellows are encouraged to be involved in ongoing research activities as well as to develop independent research projects.

General Goals and Objectives
