David Manchester, M.D.

Clinical Genetics

Dr. Manchester is Co-Director of the Division of Genetic Services. He is a clinical geneticist whose research interests are in mutagenesis and genetic toxicology; in particular, as these processes relate to birth defects and the origins of Mendelian disorders. Most of the laboratory work for these investigations is carried out in collaboration with off-campus investigators. However, a recent collaboration to investigate the origins of human Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor gene mutations has been established with Dr. Gary Bellus at UCD.

Dr. Manchester and other members of the Division of Genetic Services also provide patient material for numerous ongoing gene discovery investigations.
