PROGRAM CANDIDATES
Subject to enrollment
and verification of eligibility, the following benefits are available
to CU GME residents through the University of Colorado Graduate
Medical Education.
Optional Coverage
Vision Plan - Optional vision plan with nationwide company
is available to residents and their dependents through payroll
deduction.
Reimbursement Account - Residents have the option to participate
in a tax-savings plan offered through the University of Colorado.
Dependent care expenses (maximum $5,000 pre-tax dollars contribution/calendar
year) or health care expenses not covered by insurance (maximum
$6,000 pre-tax dollars contribution/calendar year) may be reimbursed
from this account to reduce taxable income and increase take-home
pay.
Tax Deferred Annuity Program
- Residents with the University of Colorado Graduate Medical Education
are eligible to participate in an optional 403(b)(1) or 403(b)(7)
tax-deferred investment program.
· Opportunity to invest towards retirement in addition
to social security
· No income taxes on investment or interest earned until
money is withdrawn from the investment program
· Reduce current taxable income
