This office directs all administrative aspects of the graduate medical education programs offered by the school of medicine. The school offers post-graduate training in approximately 65 specialty training programs (totaling 900+ interns, residents and clinical fellows).
The GME office assumes the responsibility of maintaining the accreditation status of the training programs by implementing an administrative system which provides for management of financial resources, monitoring each training program's compliance with general and specific accreditation requirements, and implementing systems to tract the progress of past and current trainees.

Both are required within 30 days after establishing residency. If your current license is valid, you should only need to pass a written test and an eye exam to receive your Colorado license. Armed Forces personnel are exempt if they have valid plates and licenses from their home states.
