minimize the time spent in orientation lectures yet meet specific
requirements, we have developed 7 modules that new resident must

Resident Program Orientation: |
| |
Conducted at the
program level for all trainees entering the specific program.
The program director or coordinator will have specific information. |

| Affiliated
Hospital Orientation: |
| |
This
on-line orientation provides practical institution-specific information
for the trainees. Information
provided includes where to park, how to get access to the information
systems,
clinical practice guide, etc.
Every
trainee is required to review the Participating Hospital Orientation
web page before beginning a rotation at the particular participating
institution .

| Service/
Rotation Specific Orientation: |
| |
The
first time a resident rotates at a specific service, a junior or
senior
resident on the service will provide a one-to-one orientation about
how that service works and other relevant information. |
