MODULES FOR RESIDENTS/FELLOWS ENTERING A NEW RESIDENCY OR FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM- University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine GME programs
(Does not apply to School of Pharmacy or School of Dentistry residents)

All residents/fellows in UCDenver SOM GME residency or fellowship programs must complete online modules. Before you provide patient care in the training hospitals, incoming Resident/Fellows, are required to document completion of modules containing content that is mandated by law, regulation, or the School of Medicine GME Office.

All Residents/Fellows who are new to a University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education program must complete all the online modules listed below (GME 1000).

Residents/Fellows who are continuing in the same University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education program must complete all the online modules listed below in (GME 2000).

All fellows who are new to a University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine Graduate Medical Education Internal Medicine subspecialty, or did not take GME 3000 during the 08-09 academic year, must complete all the online modules listed below in (GME 3000).

Before you proceed to the link, please read these instructions:

1. To access most modules (Blackboard CU Online), please contact your Program Coordinator to obtain your PeopleSoft ID, which is a 6-digit number you will use as your username and password.
2. Once you login to the UCDenver employee-training site, please select the organization "Graduate Medical Education 1000". To begin each module, please select the module name on the left. The GME office will track completion of all courses except the CITI Program.
3. If you wish to "test-out" of the module, you may take a pre test. You will only get one attempt at the pre test and you must score 80% or higher to "test-out" of the module.
4. You are not required to take the pre test. You may go right to the content by clicking on the module name.
5. If you do not take the pre test or if you score less than 80% on the pre test, you must take the post test after reviewing the content.
6. Note: a pre test is not available for Patient Safety I, Communication: Bedside Manner, HIPAA Regulations, and CITI Program - Informed Consent.

1. University of Colorado Hospital (UCH): Your Program Coordinator will inform you if you need to take the TouchWorks module prior to your rotation in a UCH ambulatory service. 2. Veteran's Affairs Medical Center: Your Program Coordinator will inform you if you need to take the VAMC specific modules. Please click on this link to begin the VAMC training modules.

3. Denver Health Medical Center: Your Program Coordinator will inform you if you need to take the DHMC specific modules. Prior to your rotation, please click on the link and follow the instructions.
