Ph.D. students who have passed their comprehensive exams and postdoctoral fellows working in the labs of BNAT faculty hold bi-weekly presentations of recent research (post-docs) or journal articles (pre-docs).
Research Seminars provide an opportunity for us to discuss our work in an informal setting. While participants typically present work in progress, we are also encouraged to use the series as a chance to practice "job talks" and to get feedback about proposed experiments.
On the other hand, our Journal Club is where post-docs and graduate students take turns presenting recent articles of interest. There is a PDF file that can link you straight to the article presented.
All events are held on Friday at 10 A.M. in the Neuroscience/Physiology & Biophysics Large Conference Room, located in the RC-1 North Building, 7th Floor, Room P18-7108. Refreshments are provided and help encourage lively interactions. Any questions and inquiries related to the Seminars and Journal Club can be directed to either Joe Johnson or David Gire
