In order to mentor or teach graduate students or participate in comprehensive or thesis defense committees, faculty must have a graduate faculty appointment.  Guidelines and all necessary forms can be obtained by clicking here.  Additionally, the Graduate School has developed a Graduate Student Advisor's Handbook for faculty.
