Heidi Wald, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Medicine within the Divisions of Health Care Policy Research and General Internal Medicine. Dr. Wald's interests focus on patient safety and quality of care for the geriatric patient in the hospital setting. Her recent work has examined process-outcome relationships in postoperative care for this population. She has published in the areas of postoperative infections, hospital safety, sentinel event reporting, and root cause analysis.
