The Clinic has implemented a new system to help get phone calls to the 'Nurse of the Day' By dialing this number, your call will be directed to the phone of the Nurse of the Day, If the nurse is with a patient you will be give the option to leave a message. The 'Nurse of the Day' checks these messages regularly and will return your call as soon as possible.

Neil Goldenberg, MD, PhD, the Center’s associate director, is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. He is Co-Director of the Pediatric Thrombosis Program at UCD/TCH along with Dr. Manco-Johnson of the Center. In addition, Dr. Goldenberg is Co-Director of the Pediatric Stroke Program at UCD/TCH along with Dr. Timothy Bernard of Neurology. Dr. Goldenberg presently serves as attending physician in Center-affiliated sub-specialty pediatric clinics in Thrombophilia/Thrombosis, Ischemic Stroke, Bleeding Disorder Evaluation, Hemophilia Comprehensive Care, von Willebrand Disease/Platelet Dysfunction, and Rare Bleeding Disorders. In 2009, Dr. Goldenberg plans to also serve as attending physician in a Young Adult Thrombophilia/Thrombosis Clinic at our Center, serving patients 21 to 40 years of age.

Dr. Hassell is a well-respected adult hematologist with special interest in clotting. She received referrals from all over the Rocky Mountain Region due to her educational presentations to other physicians.

Marilyn Manco-Johnson, MD is the center director. Marilyn has been at the center for over 20 years and is a renowned expert on pediatric hemophilia, specifically joint disease prevention as well as neonatal and pediatric thrombotic disorders.

Brenda Riske, RN, MS, MBA is the Clinical and Research Director for the MSRHTC. She is responsible for the daily functioning of the clinic and oversight of research activities. Brenda has been at the center since 1984. She also serves as the Region VIII Regional Coordinator, coordinating all grant applications to the federal agencies that support hemophilia care. Ms. Riske is involved in the grants management of all research studies.

Sally Stabler, MD has worked at the University of Colorado Denver since she finished her fellowship in Hematology in 1984. She is currently Co-Director of the Division of Hematology in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Stabler’s research interest is in the effects of vitamin B12 deficiency in the elderly.

Erin Stang, LCSW, has worked at Mountain States Regional Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center as a member of the clinical team since 2002. She provides education, counseling, resource development and referral, advocacy, support, program development, training, group facilitation and community organization for patients and families in the bleeding disorder community. Erin is Region VIII and Region IX social work representative on the National Hemophilia Foundation Social Work Working Group. She has worked as a social worker since 1984 with various groups and individuals in diverse environments.
