Working with mentors Marilyn Manco-Johnson, MD (the Center’s director) and professor emeritus William Hathaway, MD in the Coagulation Research Laboratory, Dr. Goldenberg’s laboratory work has focused on the development and application of a global assay of coagulation and fibrinolysis for diagnosis and treatment monitoring of bleeding and clotting disorders. In collaboration with Dr. Manco-Johnson, Dr. Goldenberg is also leading national clinical trials on the optimal duration of therapy for first-episode venous thrombosis in children, thromobolytic therapy for high-risk deep vein thrombosis of the legs in children, and the treatment of cancer-related venous thrombosis in children. His other clinical research has focused on defining predictors of outcome of thrombosis in children. Additionally, Dr. Goldenberg is an active researcher in the field of pediatric stroke, both locally and internationally.

Linda Jacobson, MT(ASCP) has been in the coagulation research lab for over 20 years.

Marilyn Manco-Johnson, MD is the center director. Marilyn has been at the center for over 20 years and is a renowned expert on pediatric hemophilia, specifically joint disease prevention as well as neonatal and pediatric thrombotic disorders.

Judy Primeaux, RPh., MA has been at the center beginning in 1995. She directs all pharmacy services and oversees all financial management of the UCDHTC. Judy is a registered pharmacist and has extensive business background from the pharmaceutical and home care industry.

Brenda Riske, RN, MS, MBA is the Clinical and Research Director for the UCDHTC. She is responsible for the daily functioning of the clinic and oversight of research activities. Brenda has been at the center since 1984. She also serves as the Region VIII Regional Coordinator, coordinating all grant applications to the federal agencies that support hemophilia care. Ms. Riske is involved in the grants management of all research studies.

Rick holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems and provides data modeling and database application development services for the UCDHTC.

Carissa Smith, MBA is the Clinical Research Coordinator for the center. She has been working in research at the University of Colorado Denver since 1999 and has been at the Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center since January of 2006.

Meghan J. Calhoon, BA, MS is a Clinical Research Associate at the UCDHTC.  She works primarily on thrombophilia and stroke studies.  She is new to clinical research, but has been involved with biological research for 6 years.
