Infectious Diseases Group Practice

Description:

The Infectious Diseases Group Practice provides outpatient care for patients with infectious diseases. Although the major focus is comprehensive HIV/AIDS care, the program also provides general infectious disease consultation, monitoring of parenteral antibiotics, assessment of potential bloodborne-pathogen exposures occurring at the University of Colorado Denver, pre-travel advice, and post-travel assessment of illness.

The HIV program includes primary care providers and onsite specialists in GYN, Oncology, Endocrinology, and Mental Health. In addition, the program has an onsite pharmacy and the capability for a number of procedures including phlebotomy, immunizations, infusion services, and inhalational treatments. The HIV program also maintains collaborative clinics in Grand Junction, Durango, and Pueblo.
