Research and/or Clinical Interests
Dr. Pott's work has focused on human infectious viral diseases, including HIV-1, CMV, and VZV, and how these viruses affect the human immune system. Currently, Dr. Pott is interested in identifying the target of alpha-1 antitrypsin (AAT), which has specific antiviral and immune regulatory properties, and how this molecule exerts its modulatory effects.
