Tim Gill Endowment and Lectureship

Tim Gill is a successful software entrepreneur who actively supports equal rights and opportunity for all and opposes discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender expression. A recipient of the University of Colorado Distinguished Service Award in 1996, Tim Gill lead a group of generous and prescient donors as the predominant contributor to establish a $1.5 million dollar endowment for the Tim Gill Professorship in Infectious Diseases in 1998.

This chair was initially held by Dr. Robert Schooley. Since 2005, Dr. Edward Janoff has been the recipient of this chair. The Tim Gill Chair in Infectious Diseases was established to support HIV/AIDS research at the University of Colorado and to promote HIV/AIDS education at the University and with the community.

The Tim Gill Distinguished Lecturer is selected each year by committee for their expertise in HIV/AIDS research and care, for their skill in teaching and for their humanism that informs and enhances their community and the world. They share their expertise, perspective and experience with our faculty and trainees and with our community.
