Immunology Graduate Program
Welcome to the Integrated Department of Immunology Prospective Student homepage. We are located in the growing city of Denver, just half an hour east of the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Our department is dedicated to the instruction and training of Ph.D. graduate students in a rigorous and collaborative environment involving both course work and laboratory experience. Our department was founded in 1988, and integrates faculty from the University of Colorado Health Science Center and world-renown National Jewish Medical and Research Center. The department draws from the academic strengths of both institutions that have contributed significant resources to make our department one of the most prominent basic immunology research programs in the country. Our diverse faculty investigates all aspects of immunology including cell development and activation, signaling, inflammation, innate immunity, structural biology and disease states such as autoimmunity, transplantation, infectious disease, and cancer.
Applicants with proven scientific ability, indicated through performance in a college level science program or performance in a research laboratory, are welcome and encouraged to apply. Our program seeks to invest in students with the ability to thrive in a stimulating, research-oriented graduate program leading to careers in Immunology in the academic or private sector. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is also required.
