Welcome from the Graduate Program Director
Welcome to the Denver and Immunology Graduate Program at UCD/NJC. We hope that you get a feel for who we are, what kind of science we are doing, and how it is being done. We are proud of the high caliber science being carried out within the labs of our faculty and the national and international reputation bestowed on our department as a result of this work. However, I would emphasize what is perhaps equally impressive about our program is that this quality science is accomplished in an extremely friendly and collaborative atmosphere that goes beyond faculty-faculty interactions to also include the interactions between the students and faculty. During interviews for the graduate program, you will be exposed to a number of different faculty and students in both formal and informal settings as we try to provide you with a sense of the type of training you would receive in our program as a graduate student. Recruits take advantage of these opportunities to ask lots of questions about our program, curriculum, and faculty interests. They also get an idea what the day-to-day experience is like as an Immunology Graduate Student living in Denver and Colorado.
There is a rich tradition of Immunology in Denver. We invite you to explore our graduate program through this website, and in the future, help us continue this tradition.
Sincerely,

Raul Torres, Ph.D.
Director, Graduate Program in Immunology
