Notes

[1] Contractors must keep webmaster up-to-date with their current contact information - if we can't find you, we'll remove your access.

[2] These organizations have URLs that start with:
UCD http://www.uchsc.edu or http://www2.uchsc.edu
UPI http://upi.uchsc.edu
NRC http://nrc.uchsc.edu
Some UCD departments have their own web servers - see them for access.  For access to UCH's web, http://www.uch.edu, contact Kelly Davis; for the Cancer Center, www.uccc.edu, contact Carrie Book.

[3] FrontPage support is being discontinued.

[4] Granted only if you want to a) put an Access or SQL Server database on the web, b) restrict access to your web to a Stargate group, or c) run VBScript or use .NET features.

[5] Normally a web is indexed so it can be searched for via our search engine and via the global search engines (Google, etc.).  If this web is linked to from a page that is indexed, it will be indexed unless you request otherwise.  Some internal webs might want to remain "invisible" (though anyone that knows the URL can browse it, unless you take other security precautions).

[6] The search engine can be made to search only your web.

[7] You wish to implement or re-implement your web using Look 3, which involves the use of a common master copy of the university's web, CSS, SSI, etc.
