Sponsored user policy

I, the account owner, understand that access to the UCD resources granted under this request will remain active only as long as I remain officially associated with UCD and may be removed thereafter, along with all files related to use of the resources. Access is granted only for a period of up to six months, or until the first semi-annual renewal period (in September or March) following approval of the access. Access to UCD resources for subsequent six month periods requires renewal of authorization by the sponsoring UCD department.

Access to the requested resources shall not be granted until the authorized department administrator of the UCD department requesting the access has provided the information requested in the "Authorization" section of this request form. Access will be disabled at the end of each semi-annual renewal period unless it is renewed by the sponsoring department during the renewal period. If access is not renewed within 60 days after notice of the renewal requirement, all of the accounts for which access was granted will be removed, along with all their data. No transfer of access to another person is allowed.

UCD IT Services reserves the right to deny or terminate access to the requested resources for good cause at any time. If there is no login to an email account for more than five months, login may be disabled. If there is no login to an email account for more than six months, the account may be removed, along with all its data. Transmission of chain letters via UCD email systems is a violation of University policy and will result in removal the email account.

I will receive no specific notice if the actions mentioned above are required.
