Webmastering hints

In the sidebar are some locally-written hints on various web authoring topics.  We call them "hints" because they are light-weight documentation - quick, informal, and not necessarily complete.  They strive to help you "spin up" fast with a tool new to you, to catalog quirks that might trip you up, and to point to additional resources on the web where you can learn more.

If there's an area not listed here that you're good at, please consider writing a short blurb to guide the next person, and send it to webmaster.  Thanks!

If you don't want to design or re-design your own web page, IS might be able to do it for you, or at least point you at a contractor that can.

Warning:

Some of these hints need attention; please check back later.  They will always be slightly out of date, as the web and webmastering tools are evolving rapidly.
