Why you chose the UC Denver Neuroscience Program: I really liked the collaborative environment between labs and I wanted to stay in Colorado. Overall, I felt like the school was a great fit for me.

What labs you rotated in: Mike Zawada, will rotate with Mark Dell'Acqua in the winter

What lab you joined and why: Still rotating

Short description of your project: In Zawada's lab I am using immunohistochemistry to see if NADPH oxidase subunits are expressed in dopaminergic neurons in vivo

Where you attended undergrad and what your major/minor(s) were: Regis University. Major: Neuroscience. Minors: Biology, Psychology

What you did (if anything) between undergrad and grad school: Went straight to grad school

Other school affiliated activities/clubs you are involved in: Ask me again when I’m a 2nd year and have more time!

What you like to do outside of school: Go for runs, try to find the best Chinese lunch buffet in town, and watch really bad reality TV.
