Finalists for Nightingale Awards Announced

Two University of Colorado Hospital nurses are among the 15 registered nurses from throughout Colorado who have been named finalists for the 2005 Nightingale Awards, which recognize nursing excellence in human caring.

Robert Montgomery is a clinical nurse specialist in the anesthesiology acute pain service, and Janna Petrie, is a staff nurse in the medical intensive care unit, both at the University of Colorado Hospital.

The finalists will be honored at the 2005 “Nightingala” – the 20th Annual Nightingale Award Event on Saturday, May 7, at the Renaissance Hotel in Denver. At that time, six of the finalists will be named this year’s Nightingale Award recipients.
