December Community Events at the University of Colorado Cancer Center

AURORA, Colo. (Dec. 2, 2005) — Please see the events listed below for community calendar postings offered through the University of Colorado Cancer Center.

Wednesday, Dec. 7: Brain Tumor Support Group
  Topic: Potluck and Support Group
  Time: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  Place: Anschutz Outpatient Pavilion, Room 2005
  Who: Patients, family members, caregivers

Thursday, Dec. 8: Family Night: Coping with Cancer
  Topic: Parents will receive tips on how to talk with their children about cancer, what children understand at different ages, and how to promote healthy communication within their families. Children will have time to meet others who have a parent or caregiver with cancer, enjoy a creative art activity, and learn how people at the hospital help families when someone has cancer.
  Time: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  Place: Anschutz Cancer Pavilion
  Who: Families whose children must cope with a parent or primary caregiver with cancer.
