Free Lung Screenings this Week at University of Colorado Hospital Clinics
Screenings to be held Wednesday and Thursday; Appointments are recommended

DENVER (Nov. 14, 2006) – Anyone who is short of breath after climbing a flight of stairs, frequently coughs or is a current or former smoker may benefit from a lung screening.  In recognition of International Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Day, the Advanced eHealth for COPD in Colorado Program will sponsor free lung screenings at the following University of Colorado Hospital Internal Medicine Clinics:

Wednesday, Nov. 15
8:30a.m. -12 p.m. at University Medicine’s Garfield Clinic located at 360 S. Garfield in Denver

Thursday, Nov. 16
8:30 a.m. -12 p.m. at University Medicine’s Garfield Clinic located at 360 S. Garfield in Denver
10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1-3 p.m. at University of Colorado Hospital’s outpatient pavilion at Fitzsimons located at 1635 Ursula St. in Aurora, Colo.

Calling ahead to schedule an appointment is recommended. Walk-ins are also welcome. Please call (303) 372-8378 for appointments, directions and more information. The procedure usually takes less than five minutes and is painless requiring a deep breath in followed by a quick exhalation.
