UCDHSC Medical Students Join National Rally in Support of Children's Health Insurance Program
WHAT: As part of a national movement to spur Congress to override the President’s anticipated veto of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP), approximately 100 University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center’s School of Medicine students will rally to support SCHIP and the reauthorization and expansion that would continue coverage for the more than 6 million American children who would otherwise be without insurance.
More than 32 medical schools and pediatric teaching hospitals across the country will be “Standing Up for SCHIP” to encourage Congress to overturn the President’s promised veto of the reauthorization of SCHIP.
